Venezuela Emergency: the crisis, the risk of a civil war and the plight of Sardinians in the country

Will be held next Saturday 9 a.m. March 10.30 in viale Marconi 4 Cagliari, the meeting on the plight of Venezuela with a focus on the situation of our countrymen in the South American country. During the morning will bring their witness some immigrants sardo-Venezuelans.

A potentially explosive situation, between economic and political imbalances. The Venezuela is currently experiencing a difficult phase in its history reflected on the living conditions of not only Venezuelans, but also of the more than 350 Sardi (data AIRE) residents in the South American country.

Saturday 9 March, starting from 10.30, provincial headquarters ACLI of Viale Marconi 4 a Cagliari, the Create ACLI (Regional Committee Emigration and immigration) organize a meeting on the topic. The aim of the meeting is to raise awareness, but especially the institutions, daily living conditions in Venezuela.

They will take part in the morning also study some sardo-Venezuelans, currently in Italy but that still maintain a close relationship with South America.

"By the end of January we asked for regional institutions to mobilise to enable direct channels and to provide support to the Venezuelan population and the large community of Sardis residing-explains the regional President of Create Mauro Charter –, It is however necessary to continue in this direction. Our part, for some time we provide support to several families arrived in Sardinia with the worsening crisis but remains much to do ".
