European voluntary service in Madeira

Departing the project "A walk through the history of Madeira", coordinated by the Acli Provincials Cagliari and implemented by Académica da Madeira, Association of students of the University of Madeira #8217 &;. Seven months in Portugal to learn the best practices in the field of culture, the historical and tourist.

A fascinating project, designed to bridge between Sardinia and Madeira, Portuguese island which in recent years has managed to counter effectively the phenomenon of depopulation and attracting important flows of tourists from around the world.

A walk through the history of Madeira is the name of the European voluntary service coordinated by the ACLI Provinciali di Cagliari and implementation byStudent Association of the University of Madeira. L & #8217; Association, that from 2012 involves every year several international volunteers and hundreds of local volunteers in the development and organization of cultural activities and #8217; and guided tours in the city of Funchal, will offer two Sardinian by Acli l & #8217; opportunity to become “History Tellers“, and learn a new model of hospitality by participating in all stages of preparation and realization of tours and historical itineraries dedicated to tourists and schools.

To apply you must be residents in Sardinia, know the English language (minimum level B1), be Acli members (or card) and have anage between 18 is 30 years (does not detect student status).

The two selected will be entitled to free board and lodging, travel expenses (up to a maximum of €540) and in a monthly pocket money. Volunteers will stay in the University residence, inaugurated in 2009 located in the historic centre of Funchal.

Volunteers will have l & #8217; opportunity to participate intensively Portuguese language courses organized by & #8217; University of Madeira.
