Be part of Europe in Iglesias. European youth policies at the heart of the meeting between young people and local and regional policymakers

The 9 and the 10 May to Iglesias, 35 young Sardinian will meet to discuss European youth policies, creating a moment of training and sharing focused on the issues of democratic participation of young people, the awareness of being European citizens, youth entrepreneurship and youth migration.

The national meeting is one of the activities of the project "Be part of Europe”, promoted by ACLI Provinciali di Cagliari, in partnership with ICDET, Bulgarian Association, and in collaboration with the ACLI of Iglesias, IPSIA Sardinia, CREI Acli and Acli Gesico, and funded by the "Erasmus + – Key action 3 – Structured Dialogue – Meetings between young people and policy makers in the field of youth on the structured dialogue "that promotes active participation of young people in democratic life is encourages the debate on issues and priorities set by the "structured dialogue" and by the renewed policy framework in the youth field. The "structured dialogue" is, indeed, a tool that allows communication between young people, organizations, operators and actors of youth and policy makers, that has been created and used to construct policies targeting the younger generation.

The official start of work is planned for Tuesday 9 may at the Hotel Arthur to Iglesias. During the two days the young participants will have the opportunity to test their skills and critical thinking, through dating with experts is, especially, through the comparison with those involved in youth policy (Youth policy makers).

Are planned, indeed, different interventions policy makers including the Mayor of the municipality of Iglesias Emilio Gariazzo, the Deputy Mayor Amy Feng, the Councillor for education Peter Earnest, the Chairman of the Municipal Council of Iglesias Mauro Usai, Regional Councillor Gianluigi Rubiu, the Councillor to social services, youth policies of the municipality of Gonnesa Federica Olla, and several councillors of the Comune di Iglesias.

Be part of Europe is cofinanced, also, via l. R. n. 3 of 2009, from Big. Education, Cultural Heritage, Information, Show and Sport of Region Sardinia. The law promotes international youth mobility projects, l ’ interculturality and European citizenship. The project is sponsored by the city of Cagliari.
