Registrations for mini-courses aimed at family caregivers and ordinary citizens are now open
The ACLI of Cagliari promote, as part of the activities of the Point Family, a series of home care training modules, aimed at both personal care workers and ordinary citizens who wish to train themselves to have the right approach towards family members.
The aim of these mini-courses is to provide basic skills to those who, more and more frequently, are caring for people with health problems. Knowing how to manage a
medication or learn how to treat certain conditions, leads to a Improved quality of life of elderly people, disabled people and those who need specific therapies that can be implemented at home.
The Scope of the Modules, which have a duration varying from 4 all 8 hours, are as follows:
- Diabetes management: Power, Glycemic sticks, Specific therapy
- Possible treatment of diabetic skin ulcers
- Management of bladder catheterization
- Nutrition Management in Peg
- Assistance with motor and mental disabilities
- Care for patients suffering from pressure sores
- Autistic Patient Management
- Management of psychiatric disorders
- Handling and posture of the fractured patient
- Bioenergetics and its application in the stabilization of psychosomatic disorders
- The management of the enema and colonstomy pouch
- The management of cancer patients
- Post-stroke patient management
- Tracheostomy management
- Ventilation therapy
The meetings will be held in the afternoon at the headquarters of the ACLI in Cagliari, Viale Marconi n. 4.
