Long Live Project, Practical activities continue: Seminar on the "Aging Brain" in Maracalagonis and trip to Laconi

There are two events planned for this third week of November for the project "Living long, Living well: Health and wellness paths for Over 60”, promoted by the FAP (Federation of Seniors and Pensioners) Of ACLI of Cagliari. This initiative is carried out in collaboration with the ACLI Provinciali di Cagliari, ASD Blue Sardinia, Fondazione Polisolidale (for the territories of Sinnai and Maracalagonis) and funded by the Foundation of Sardinia, through the call for proposals “Public health, Preventive and rehabilitative medicine 2023“.

The first event is scheduled for Friday 17 November all 17:30 a Maracalagonis, at the Multipurpose Center in Via Umberto I n.6. An information and training seminar on the topic will be held here “The Aging Brain”. Experts in the field of neurology and psychology will explore the challenges and opportunities related to aging. The seminar represents an important opportunity for learning and awareness to consciously address the dynamics of brain aging.

Sunday 19 November a trip to Laconi is planned, An event designed to encourage socialization and contact with nature, Key elements for active and healthy ageing. This excursion will allow participants to enjoy the natural and cultural beauties of the area, while stimulating intergenerational interaction and exchange.

THE PROJECT

These events are part of the project's many initiatives “Living long, Living well”, aimed at promoting health, the well-being and social activation of the elderly, with an eye towards promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

The project includes a series of actions dedicated to the over-60s, from gastronomic laboratories, Creative, to activities in contact with nature, designed to promote keeping fit and stimulate exchange between different generations. The activities are carried out by a team of experts, including psychologists specialising in active ageing, third sector operators and volunteers of the National Civil Service.
