Bonus 200 euro aid decree for domestic workers and carers

There are over 19 thousand domestic workers of Italian nationality active in the Cagliari area (Istat 2020). Also for them, the aid decree of last 17 May provided the bonus from 200 Euro, but contrary to what happens for other categories of workers, the accreditation will not be automatic but will require the compilation of an application.

For this reason, the Patronato Acli has decided to activate a multi-channel service free, to help domestic workers apply for the bonus 200 Euro.

The Bonus 200 euro will go in the paycheck to 31 millions of workers in our country but there are some categories to which this sum will not be credited automatically, Is that so?

"Yes, the audience of beneficiaries concerns practically all Italian workers as well as pensioners, but only some workers will have to apply, otherwise there will be no accreditation for them – explains the president of the Patronato Acli of Cagliari James Card –. We need to clarify and warn them because the times are very tight; domestic workers will have to apply, coordinated and continuous collaborators, seasonal workers, fixed-term and intermittent, the workers of the show, occasional self-employed persons without a VAT number and workers in charge of home sales'.

Patronages have the task of managing the applications of domestic workers.

"The legislator has expressly provided for a greater and direct involvement of the institutions of patronage in favor of domestic workers and consequently of families - he continues Paper –. Hence our decision to respond to the provision of the law by structuring a temporary service mode, multichannel (in presence and at a distance), dedicated to domestic workers that joins the activity we carry out every day».

What are the necessary requirements for the domestic worker who will apply for bonuses?

'The measure will be paid to domestic workers provided that they have one or more employment contracts in progress on the date of 18 May 2022 – explains the president of the ACLI –. For domestic workers the amount will not be advanced by the families and, once the application has been submitted, INPS will pay from July 2022».
