The achievement of effective gender equality also passes through the correct representation of reality through the word. This is why the coordination of women of the Acli of Cagliari and Regional, in collaboration with Ipsia Sardegna is the Acli of Cagliari, with the patronage of the Municipality of Pirri, organize a meeting of reflection on the theme.

L ’ event, coordinated by Blessed Iannelli is Charlotte Lane, referents of the Regional Women's Coordination and of the Acli of Cagliari, was born as part of the reflection initiatives related to the World Day against Violence against Women and wants to emphasize a particular aspect: the language.

"We decided to organize this meeting because we are aware that language influences our way of life and our daily lives, words are actions and make things happen, quoting Hanif Kureishi. That's why, each of us, by virtue of its role, can strive to recognize the right importance of gender language".

The initiative, to be held next Thursday 9 December in conference room of the former distillery of via Ampere in Pirri starting from 18, opens with the institutional greetings of Maria Laura Manca, president of the Municipality of Pirri and sees the participation of Barbara Barbieri, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science, Ester Cois, university researcher and delegate of the rector for gender equality, Susanna Pisano, Councillor for Equality of the Metropolitan City of Cagliari and Ornella Porcedda, councillor of the Municipality of Pirri with responsibility for social policies.

During the event some projects and initiatives will be presented, aimed at overcoming gender-related disparities in institutions and academia.
