Local volunteer networks: the 28 August seminar Summary on new contract

New opportunities: 3,5 million for "local networks" in the third sector.

IPSIA Sardinia organizes a seminar on the call ” volunteer work 2019 ” of Foundation with the South. The meeting is scheduled Wednesday 28 August starting from hours 18 at the headquarters of Viale Marconi 4 Cagliari.

The Foundation with the South provides local networks of volunteering 3,5 million of private resources to promote integrated actions able to diffuse new practices of volunteerism, innovate, widen or intensify the offer of services provided, protect and enhance the Commons, provide tools of cultural mediation and acceptance/integration of disadvantaged people.

The goal is to strengthen the role of the "local networks" of the third sector to counter act of social exclusion in the inner areas of southern Italy, i.e., municipalities that, because of the distance from essential services (Statement, health and mobility), have undergone a gradual process of isolation, population decline and falling employment.

The idea of the ban is to empower many associations, with professionalism and dedication that are operating in the territories, to carry on, through shared action and integrated with the local authorities, schools and the world of profit, significant initiatives aimed at the elderly, disabled, immigrants, NEET, unemployed, offer them services that are not or not easily accessible and propose, so, concrete actions to fight against isolation and depopulation. We trust that is given maximum visibility at this opportunity to many to participate. We are also doing our part by organizing seminars in the territories ".

The programs, supported with a contribution between 100.000 is 180.000 Euro, must be mobilised in at least two southern municipalities including internal areas (identified in the notice) and localised in at most two neighbouring provinces. To participate you must have the "local networks" are composed of at least three entities of the third sector (including the entity in charge) they play continuously and not occasional volunteering in one of the municipalities in which the programme aims to intervene. It is hoped the presence within the network of other subjects from the world of volunteering, of the school, public institutions and enterprises for profit.
