In December the new course for family caregivers

The Acli of Cagliari promotes training for family caregivers with the aim of improve the skills of workers operating in a growing industry.

According to figures published in June 2018 by Inps and regarding the annuity 2017, domestic workers contributing to social security were 864.526, a decrease of -1,0% with respect to 2016; a larger decrease occurred in 2014 compared to data 2013 (-5,2%) and in 2013 compared to 2012 (-5,1%) year in which it is registered, instead, a sharp increase in the number of workers due to the amnesty on undocumented foreign workers.

As regards the Italian workers, There was an upward trend, equal to +6,9% in the year 2017, compared to the previous year. At the regional level, There is a small decrease only in Sardinia (-0,3%) where is preponderant anyway the component of Italian workers, and a general increase in all other regions, particularly in Molise (+29,0%), Friuli Venezia Giulia (+23,2%) and in many regions of the South. Unlike foreign workers following a decreasing trend of -3,6%.

The territorial distribution by place of work highlights that the Northwest is the geographic area that, with the 29,7%, with the highest number of workers, followed by the Center with the 28,5%, from the North-East by the 19,9%, from the South with the 12,6% and the Islands with the 9.3%.

The composition by sex shows a clear predominance of females, growing, which reached in 2017 the maximum value of the last six years, equal to 88.3%.

Being concerned about Sardinia, Social security data bring us a family care sector that counts 44.259 occupied most of whom are women of Italian nationality. But this data must be added all workers who still perform their tasks in black.

Our course, Besides a part linked to practical problems faced by workers in the care of home and family, will deepen the rights and obligations provided for by employment laws.

Classes will be held in Viale Marconi 2A Cafe every Thursday at 15 all 17 for a total of 24 hours. The start date is set for Thursday 13 December.
