Distribution of warm clothing to the homeless in the city

The response of the inhabitants of Cagliari and the hinterland to the demand of heavy clothing and blankets made two months ago via the website and our social network.

Thanks to the generosity of so many people, the project volunteers “We recycle " can now help those having no fixed abode spend their nights outdoors.

"We recycle" is a project born in 2015 combining passion for tailoring to solidarity and environmental protection, through original and creative recovery of used clothes and accessories. Starting from their collection, the old clothes take two ways: After being washed thoroughly, the Chiefs will be repaired and made available to those who need or, When no longer able to repair, they are recycled as fabrics for new couture creations. From 2015 to date, the project involved gradually the different clubhouses Acli of Cagliari and civil service young people engaged in projects.

The clothing distribution will take place on 9 February. The van Acli will traverse the streets of downtown, stopping sensitive points of the city. The homeless people of Cagliari were never recorded but certainly not a few; an uneasiness which cannot leave you indifferent. With this initiative we are committed, alongside the other societies that took to the field in recent months, to offer immediate help.
