The ACLI organizes Elmas “Stories Roads”

ACLI Elmas, as part of initiatives of solidarity Christmas organized by the City of Elmas, present the project "Road Stories" – Research on some historical names of Elmas, realized with the support of the Province of Cagliari.

The project stems from the observation of how sometimes a community, especially when the population is growing rapidly as in Elmas, do not know or forget their history.

The result of the research was the creation of a brochure, that talks about the history of the country through street names, squares and public buildings, that hide stories of characters from the past to learn or rediscover. He wanted to remind some people and some families of Elmas present in the names of the community, Briefly recounting many small stories. Sometimes it comes to families and persons involved in local history, in other cases they are citizens to remember the tragic events linked to war events, or mentioned for their civic stance and its contribution to the country.

It is hoped that the study will be deepened and extended to other personalities and names of our territory, many of which have historical value to be discovered.

The presentation will take place at Elmas, Friday 27 December at 18,00, in the Plaza of the Church 3, in the meeting room Library Municipal.
