IPSIA Sardinia, in partnership with the Province of Cagliari, Leader of the initiative, the Friends of Father Martinien Volunteer Association, the Association for the Fight against AIDS and Other Common Infections A.L.A.S.C.O. and the Development Body in Congo CDI Bwamanda and the company Eurocontact s.r.l. invites you to participate in the conference “Prevention and awareness-raising to fight AIDS”, organised as part of the project: “Combating AIDS and other common infections in the Democratic Republic of the Congo” co-financed by the Regional Law No. 19/1996 – Standards for cooperation with developing countries and international cooperation.

The project was born within a decentralized cooperation strategy between Sardinia and the Democratic Republic of Congo to inform about the emergency situation affecting the population of Congo in relation to HIV disease and other very frequent infections.

The aims of the conference are, on one side, to tell the activity of "information" and "awareness" on the problem of HIV that is carried out by the A.L.A.S.C.O. Association., which for years has been carrying out numerous information campaigns aimed at triggering a prevention system that can significantly reduce the number of infections that are transmitted through sexual intercourse, Blood, polluted water and insufficient sanitation, and, from ’ more, inform and raise awareness among young people and students in Sardinia about HIV with a view to preventing the spread through the implementation of appropriate behaviours.

The conference will be held Tuesday 18 June 2013 at 09.00 at the Multipurpose Hall of the Monte Claro Park in viale Cadello 9/b in Cagliari.

The following speakers will speak: Angela Quaquero (Province of Cagliari), Blessed Iannelli (Ipsia Sardinia), Concetta Loved (Region Sardinia), Silvana Tilocca (ASL 8), Father Joseph Bosokpale – (A.L.A.S.C.O.), Brunella Mocci (LILA – Italian League for the Fight Against AIDS – Sardinia). Moderated by Mauro Carta (ACLI President of Cagliari).
