Lab Dakar: promotion of & #8217; female entrepreneurs in Senegal

The cooperation project promoted by IPSIA Sardinia goes live.

Development cooperation and cultural exchange. With the visit of a delegation from senegalese land Sardinian goes live on project Lab Dakar: promotion of & #8217; female entrepreneurs in Senegal funded by the Region Sardinia (funds regional law 19/1996) and carried on by IPSIA Sardinia, lead partner, together with Comune di Ussaramanna, National PROFESSIONAL INSTITUTE, all’Association Sunugal Senegal and the senegalese women's cooperative GIS GIS.

The initiative was born with the main goal to provide practical help to improve the status of women in Senegal, reduce the gender gap and increase the level of protection of human rights through the promotion of female entrepreneurship in textiles. But not only: “the cooperation -says the President of IPSIA Sardinia and project coordinator Blessed IannelliIt will be essential to stimulate thecultural exchange between the island and the African country. Through its contribution to economic growth and creating more job opportunities on site, then, may be favoured the irregular migratory flows decrease to abroad, a tragic reality of contemporary Senegal”.

From 22 al 27 March, Therefore, a delegation of the President Iannelli, the President of Acli Provinciali di Cagliari Mauro Charter, from video production expert Dhileepan S, will start to Guediawaye, cities in the region of Dakar where is located the intervention, to follow the development of the activities foreseen by the plan. The delegates will join the two authors of the project, young designers in Milan Julius Vismara is Sara Meucci, already in Africa to follow the start of production for Equomercato is, along with members of the senegalese Cooperative GIS GIS, the design and development of new products.
