Social allowance 2018: increased age requirement

From 1 January 2018 will increase by one year the age to obtain welfare benefits. Will change from 65 years and 7 months to 66 years and 7 months. See it coming is the reform Fornero: an extra year of waiting without any financial support. L & #8217; social allowance is a benefit paid by & #8217; INPS to everyone who met the requirements of the pension, they have paid social security contributions or that they did so but not enough to make sure that you have the right to minimum pension.

Citizens starting from 1 January 2018 can request l' social allowance INPS for 13 months are those who possess the following requirements:

  • their accomplished 66 years and 7 months, until this & #8217; year rather the age limit has been 65 years and 7 months;
  • be without income or almost and be so in need (the income should not exceed 5.824 Euro l & #8217;, i.e., 11.649,82 euro if married);
  • having Italian citizenship, community need for foreigners #8217; enrollment in the municipality of residence l & and for non-EU foreigners instead serves the long-term resident's EC residence permit.
  • Italian stable and continuous residence for at least 10 years.
